KlinPharm Joins New SFB 1784 - InTraC

KlinPharm is pleased to announce its participation in the newly established Collaborative Research Center (SFB 1784) “InTraC – The Interplay of Thrombosis and Inflammation: Translating Molecular Mechanisms into Clinical Applications”, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Within this interdisciplinary research network, KlinPharm contributes to Project B07: “Engineering immune cells as micropharmacies for microvascular thrombolysis.” (AG Kobold / AG Reichel)

The new research consortium is coordinated by the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich under the leadership of Prof. Dr. med. Steffen Massberg, spokesperson of the SFB and Director of the Department of Internal Medicine I at LMU University Hospital.

The Collaborative Research Center aims to investigate the complex interplay between thrombosis and inflammation and to translate fundamental molecular discoveries into innovative clinical applications. By bringing together expertise from basic science and clinical research, InTraC seeks to improve the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of thrombo-inflammatory diseases.

In addition to LMU Munich, the consortium includes leading German research institutions and universities, including the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, the Helmholtz Munich, the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, and the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
