Dr. Bernhard Ransmayr, M.D., Ph.D., a postdoctoral researcher from the Kobold Lab, has been awarded the prestigious Walter Hitzig Prize.

Dr. Ransmayr received the prize in recognition of his outstanding publication, which was completed in 2024 at the Boztug Group at St. Anna Children's Cancer Research Institute (St. Anna CCRI) and the Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (CeMM), titled: “LTβR deficiency causes lymph node aplasia and impaired B-cell differentiation.”

The award was presented during the 42nd Annual Meeting of the Working Group for Pediatric Immunology (API), held from April 16 to 18, 2026, at Kloster Banz. This year’s meeting took place in the historic setting of the former Benedictine monastery in Banz.

We warmly congratulate Dr. Ransmayr on this significant achievement.
