Book your appointment

  1. Scroll down and select one of the following categories from the dropdown menu. Click on it, and a window will open with further information.
  2. Most appointments can be booked online. Click the green button 'BOOK ONLINE' to schedule your appointment. If appointments can only be booked by phone or email (e.g., occupational health assessment before/after a work-related stay), this will be indicated accordingly.
  3. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read our instructions (e.g., required documents, price list) and checklists. Please note that there are two different checklists depending on the type of appointment (travel/vaccination consultation checklist and returning travelers/medical assessment checklist).
  4. If you would like to anonymously share your feedback on how satisfied you were with the appointment booking and your visit to the outpatient clinic, we would appreciate hearing from you.

Travel Preparation (Vaccinations & Consulation)

Are you planning a trip, need travel and vaccination advice and would like to be vaccinated if necessary? Our medical team with its expertise in tropical medicine, infectiology and travel medicine will be happy to assist you. Arrange your individual or group appointment via our online booking system. Your appointment includes a consultation and, if required, a vaccination.

We offer specific vaccination and consultation services, for example for yellow fever, rabies (subject to availability), typhoid, hepatitis A/B vaccination or dengue fever. Kindly note that these services are subject to a charge. All vaccinations offered (subject to availability) can be found in our price list (available in German only).

All bookable appointments are displayed in the booking system. Available appointments are updated in real-time. When you book the "Reisesprechstunde Erstberatung/Initial Travel Consulation", it may also serve as your first vaccination appointment.

The consultation takes place on-site. Kindly understand that we do not offer online or telephone consultation. Please note that our secretariat is only available until 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons during the travel and vaccination consultation hours.

Here you will also find brief information for travelers (e.g. first-aid kit).

However, some health insurance providers may reimburse all or part of the costs as additional benefits. Please check with your insurer beforehand to confirm which services are covered.

  • For work-related travel, costs are typically covered by the employer. We recommend confirming this with your employer in advance. Please bring written confirmation of cost coverage if applicable.

Please bring your vaccination certificate with you to the vaccination and travel consultation. If you do not have one, you will be issued with a new vaccination certificate for the vaccinations you have received at the Tropical Institute .
